At a special meeting this morning, the Indiana County Commissioners approved putting the 2024 tentative budget out on display.
In this third draft of the budget, expenditures come to $55,494,988, and revenues come to $54,665,363. Real estate taxes will increase by .9 mills, raising the county tax rate to 5.805 mills.
Commissioners Chairman Mike Keith made it clear that this is not final approval of the 2024 budget, and there is still work to be done over the next 20 days.
The budget will be put on the county’s website, indianacountypa.gov and will be available for in-person inspection. The budget will go up for final adoption at another special meeting on December 29th.
