State police have released more information on a crash that happened Tuesday morning in South Mahoning Township.
Troopers say around 12:30 a.m., a car driven by 20-year-old Emily Guy of Kittanning was driving west on Route 85 near Morrow Road when it failed to negotiate a left turn. Guy drifted off the northern berm and attempted to correct her car but was pulled in by the soft ground. Once she got back on the roadway, she fish tailed and crashed into an embankment before rolling on her driver’s side.
Guy was not injured but troopers determined she was not wearing her seatbelt. She was charged with a summary traffic violation.
