One person was charged with terroristic threats following an incident Tuesday morning in Buffington Township.
State police say they responded to a location along Route 403 South shortly after 7:30 AM for a report of a man throwing items out of a home and into the yard and nearby roadway. Upon arrival, troopers witnessed 23-year-old Mark McCloskey of Homer City throwing the items, and when they approached the house, McCloskey allegedly told them he would slit their throat if they got near him. McCloskey fled the home soon after and led troopers on a foot chase in a wooded area. He was found hiding in the second floor of a nearby barn.
McCloskey was taken into custody without incident and arraigned before Magisterial Judge Susanne Steffee on charges of terroristic threats, criminal trespass, resisting arrest, and scattering trash. He was later lodged in Indiana County Jail.
