State police are investigating a reported case of child luring that happened on Tuesday around Rayne Township.
Troopers said that around 4:00 yesterday afternoon, an unknown suspect tried to lure an 11-year-old boy towards a vehicle along Washington Church Road in Rayne Township after the victim got off a school bus and was walking home. Police said that the suspect stayed in the vehicle and no physical contact was reported between the victim and suspect. After the incident happened, police said that the victim went home and notified his parents.
The suspect was described by police as a black man in his 30s with short hair, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and a bandana or face covering. He was driving a black Toyota sedan, possibly a Prius. He was seen driving away and headed towards Route 119. The vehicle has possible damage to its passenger side.
The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information can call state police at 724-357-1960.
