The Penguins’ power play was 0-for-5 and gave up a short-handed goal as the Flyers beat Pittsburgh, 4-3, in a shootout on Saturday night.
Kris Letang scored for the Pens, and Jake Guentzel had two goals, the second of which came at 19:39 of regulation, with goaltender Tristan Jarry pulled, to force overtime.
In the shootout, Philadelphia’s Sean Couturier had the only goal while the Pens’ Sidney Crosby, Bryan Rust, and Guentzel were stopped by Flyer’s goaltender Samuel Ersson.
The same two teams meet on Monday night in Philly.
