Today, an Indiana County Christmas Tree farm will give back to those serving in the military and their families through their Trees for Troops program.
The program runs today from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Mytrysak Family Tree Farm on Fleming Road. Participants can purchase a Christmas tree at the farm and donate it to the cause, sending the tree to military families in the United States and to troops stationed overseas. According to the Christmas Spirit Foundation, the parent organization of the national Trees for Troops program, nearly 300,000 trees have been donated in events held across the nation.
As part of the festivities, there will be live music, wagon rides, an opportunity to meet a soldier, and refreshments will be available for purchase to benefit Trees for Troops.
Those unable to attend can donate by calling Mytrysak’s at 724-463-0570.
