The IUP basketball teams open PSAC play today with crossover road games. They’ll play at Shippensburg today and at Lock Haven tomorrow.
Women’s coach Craig Carey is dealing with some adversity. He’s down to only seven healthy players heading into today’s game.
Carey says he’s had to adjust his practice routine because of a lack of healthy bodies. He’s looking forward to getting back to action after last playing on November 18th, and he doesn’t mind that it’s on the road.
IUP is 3-1 and Shippensburg is 1-4.
The 2-3 IUP men return to the court today as well, taking on a 3-1 Shippensburg team. Coach Joe Lombardi hopes the Crimson Hawks can grow closer because they are playing on the road for the first time.
The women’s game tips off at 3:00 today. The airtime is at 2:45 on 92.5 FM U92, with the men’s game to follow.
