The Atlantic Region championship is set and it will feature a rematch of this year’s PSAC Championship game.
Fourth-seed Slippery Rock upset top seed Tiffin, 45-35, on Saturday to set up an all-PSAC game against third-seed Kutztown, who squeaked by second-seed West Virginia Charleston, 32-31. The Golden Bears claimed the PSAC championship two weeks ago against The Rock, 31-7.
Despite Kutztown having the higher seed, Slippery Rock will host this Saturday’s quarterfinal matchup. Reports say The Rock was the only team to submit a bid if they won their second-round matchup, which resulted in the unorthodox setup.
