One person was hurt in a fire in Nanty-Glo on Friday.
Firefighters were called out to 1096 Caroline Street around 4:00 PM. Initial reports said that the fire started in the kitchen in a two-story home. Fire crews from Nanty-Glo and Jackson Fire departments were able to knock the fire down quickly, but one person who lived at the home was injured and was flown to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. There were no reports of any firefighters injured.
Black Lick Valley EMS and Lifeflight were also dispatched to the scene. No word yet on the exact cause of the fire.
