Indiana Borough Council will hold a work session tonight, and the proposed 2024 budget is on the agenda.
The motion is to put the budget and the tax ordinance that fixes and levies real estate taxes out for advertisement and inspection. Nothing has been released on the budget yet. Last year, borough council approved a half-mil tax increase, which covered the costs for various items, including fuel.
Also on the agenda for tonight is the approval of a lease agreement for 829 Water Street and to authorize the Borough Manager, Council President and Mayor to execute an agreement with the county. This is for the borough to use the former office of District Judge Guy Haberl as the borough office while renovations are underway for the George Hood Borough Building.
The meeting will be held at 7:00 tonight at the borough building.
