Today is the annual Turkeython to raise money for the United Way of Indiana County and to help those less fortunate get a warm meal at the holidays
The Turkeython is an annual tradition that started on Bill Otto’s Oldies Attic 34 years ago, and this year marks the third year that the Turkeython will be on Indiana in the Morning. Guests will be coming to the station at the corner of 9th and Philadelphia Streets in Indiana to drop off donations throughout the morning, and there will be other drop-off locations throughout Indiana County. Pledges will also be accepted by calling 724-479-1160 or 724-349-9227 (WCCS) from 7-10 this morning. People are reminded that for each dollar raised by the United Way, that money will be matched to provide turkeys and warm holiday meals for people in our community.
