Downtown Indiana is expected to be busy tonight with the first night of the It’s A Wonderful Life festival.
Activities are scheduled to start this afternoon with events at the Jimmy Stewart Museum, the Coney and other locations throughout the business district. Light-up night activities will start around 4:30 PM at IRMC Park at the intersection of 7th and Philadelphia Streets. Drivers are being advised that Philadelphia Street will be closed off at 5:00 PM tonight. The Tree lighting ceremony will start at 6:30 PM and we will have a video of the tree lighting on our Facebook page. Then at 7:00, the Holiday parade will begin. Activities are also scheduled after the parade.
This year the parade will have some honorary grand marshals, as Zander Marshall and his parents will lead the parade. Zander has Leigh Syndrome, a very rare disease, and the parents are raising money for his care and for the care of others with this condition through the Cure Mito foundation.
We’ll have coverage of the parade tonight starting at 7:00 on Renda Digital TV on YouTube.
