Thursday was a busy day for first responders with multiple calls and a brush fire in Westmoreland County that brought in fire crews from Indiana County as well.
Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments were called out to a location on Koffman Road in Derry Township at 12:34 PM. About 22 minutes later, the Coral-Graceton, Coal Run, Iselin and Tunnelton fire departments were called out to assist on-scene. Details on the fire are not available.
However, the 84th brush fire of the year for Indiana County was reported at 6:43 PM yesterday on Nibert Road in Rayne Township. Clymer Fire Department was called to the scene at the time.
And early this morning, fire crews were called out for a Flue Fire on Bookmeyer Road in Rayne Township. Marion Center firefighters were called out at 12:40 AM with Clymer fire department called out eight minutes later to assist on-scene.
