Two people are in Westmoreland County Prison on charges related to an incident in St. Clair Township where shots were fired.
The domestic dispute was reported around noon on Sunday at a home on Pennsylvania Lane off Route 711 near New Florence. State police say 34-year-old Justin McDowell had gone to his home to retrieve tools and other items. His separated wife Fauna confronted him when she got home by blocking him in and pushing and hitting him. He grabbed his handgun from inside the pickup truck and threatened to shoot her and knocked her to the ground when she started pulling items out of the truck. She went inside the house, retrieved a shotgun and fired two shots while he stood near the truck. The shots hit the truck and missed him. He drove away and called police.
Fauna is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault and reckless endangerment, while Justin is charged with terroristic threats and simple assault. Preliminary hearings for the couple are scheduled for Friday.
