A four-day faculty negotiation session between the State System of Higher Education and the union representing its teachers wrapped up yesterday.
While a new contract was not completed, PASSHE and APSCUF did discuss several topics, including various issues related to salaries and benefits, student-teacher evaluations, academic advising and class cancellation. Another two-day negotiation session is scheduled to be held on December 4th and 5th, with a news release expected to be issued at the end of that session. Until the new contract is in place, teachers at the state system schools will work under the terms of a contract that expired on June 30th of this year.
Meanwhile the teams negotiating the Coaches’ contract will meet for a two-day session on November 28th and 29th.
