Pennsylvania’s Attorney General has issued a statement concerning the recent sentencing of a man accused of killing a Cherryhill Township couple in 2016.
On Monday, 25-year-old Nathanial Price entered guilty pleas to two counts of third-degree murder along with robbery and other crimes connected with the killings of Timothy Gardner and Jacqueline Brink during a robbery at Gardner’s home. Investigators said that Price, Justin Stevenson and Isaiah Scott went to Gardner’s home on the pretense to buy marijuana, but Price and Stevenson attacked Gardner and beat him to death. Price and Stevenson each claimed the other killed Brink.
The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office prosecuted the case as before Robert Manzi became the District Attorney, his law office represented Isaiah Scott in court. In a statement, Attorney General Michelle Henry said that she hoped the plea “brings closure to the family and loved ones of the victims. While we cannot bring back the lives that were lost, the defendant will be held accountable for his crimes.”
Price was ordered to serve a total of 65 to 130 years in prison. Co-Defendant Justin Stevenson previously pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison. Scott, who was 17 at the time, had his case adjudicated in the juvenile probation system. He fled the scene when he saw the assault take place.
