The preliminary hearing for a Pittsburgh man charged in an officer-involved shooting on IUP campus was continued Wednesday afternoon.
19-year-old Cameron Raubaugh was to go before District Judge Guy Haberl for his preliminary hearing, but court officials say it was continued following a scheduling conflict with his attorney. No new trial date has been set yet.
Raubaugh is charged with aggravated assault-fear of imminent significant bodily injury, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault and false reports after an incident October 29th at the George P. Miller Stadium parking lot. He allegedly called police to report a robbery by a man who he described as dressed in black clothing and wielding a knife, but when campus police arrived, they found Raubaugh with the knife and black clothing. He knocked down one of the officers and a shot was fired but it missed. State police later apprehended him after subduing him with a taser.
Raubaugh has been in Indiana County Jail since his arrest.
