About 39% of Indiana County voters cast a ballot in yesterday’s election, either in person at the polls or through the mail and the citizens voted the three current Indiana County Commissioners back into office.
The two republicans on the ballot, Mike Keith and Robin Gorman, were the top two, with 10,423 votes for Keith and 9,933 votes for Gorman. The two ran a joint re-election campaign, and Keith said that he enjoyed working with Gorman for their re-election.
Gorman said she looked forward to keeping things moving forward with broadband expansion in the county as she goes through her next term.
Sherene Hess was also re-elected, with 7,070 votes cast for her. Along with the broadband issues, she says she wants to focus on human services.
Aaron Lehman received 5,492 votes. He said he was proud of running a clean campaign and talked about what is next for him.
All results are unofficial until the votes are certified by the board of elections.
