Multiple brush fires were reported in Indiana County over the last 24 hours.
The first of these was at 2:40 in the afternoon yesterday, at a property on Trim Tree Road in Armstrong Township. Brush fires were also reported on Fox Road in East Wheatfield Township at 3:30, Greenville Road in Center Township at 5:20 PM, Longs Road in Brush Valley Township at 10:58 PM, and one at 5:10 this morning at a property on Dixonville Road in Grant Township.
This brings the total number of brush fires in 2023 to 75.
There was also a structure fire reported on Saltsburg Road in Young Township. Coal Run, Iselin, and Blairsville fire departments were initially called out, while Saltsburg and Tunnelton Fire Crews provided assistance later on. Slickville and New Alexandria fire departments were called on to provide standby coverage.
