Jeff Capel and the Pitt Panthers tip off their season tonight against North Carolina A&T at the Petersen Events Center. Tipoff is scheduled for shortly after 7 o’clock. We’re on the air on WCCS at 6:30.
Pitt is coming off a 24-12 season and a trip to the NCAA playoffs, where they lost to Xavier in the second round.
Defending national champion UConn will begin the season at home against non-conference opponent Northern Arizona. Top-ranked Kansas will host North Carolina Central, number two Purdue will host Samford, number three Duke takes on Dartmouth, and fourth-ranked Michigan State challenges James Madison.
