Election Day is Tuesday, but as of last week, about 613,000 Pennsylvanians had already voted by mail. Their ballots, however, may not be opened and tallied until after polls close on Tuesday.
In addition to a number of local municipalities electing their candidates, the races this year also include county commissioners, a state Supreme Court justice, two judges on state Superior Court, and a judge for Commonwealth Court.
Of the approximate 8.7 million registered voters in Pennsylvania, 45 percent are Democrats, 40 percent are Republicans, 4 percent are registered with other parties, and 11 percent are unaffiliated.
As of October 30th, Indiana County showed 27,188 registered Republicans, 15,331 registered Democrats, 4,301 unaffiliated voters, and 1,858 registered with other parties. That’s a total of 48,678 registered voters in Indiana County.
Polls open at 7 AM on Tuesday.
