The Penguins scored five goals in the second period and three more in the third on their way to routing the San Jose Sharks, 10-3, Saturday at San Jose.
Evgeni Malkin, Jake Guentzel and Reilly Smith each scored twice for the Penguins, who improved to 4-6-0. The Sharks continued to flounder, falling to 0-10-1. Other Penguins goals were scored by Bryan Rust, Vinnie Hinostroza, Kris Letang and Matt Nieto.
Tristan Jarry faced 26 shots, stopping 24.
