A preliminary hearing is scheduled for today for a man charged in connection with a foot chase that happened in late September in Indiana Borough.
Authorities say that 26-year-old Tyrone Thomas III was charged with resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehension, evading arrest on foot and disorderly conduct. The charges stemmed from an incident on September 24th at a convenience store in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street. When police tried to take Thomas into custody, he led officers on a foot chase until he was eventually apprehended. He was placed in jail at the time on a charge related to an arrest warrant.
The hearing is scheduled for 1:00 this afternoon in front of district judge Guy Haberl.
