As the calendar turns to November, municipal governments will be taking a look at their budgets for the 2024 year. The first borough to do so will be Clymer Borough.
The tentative 2024 budget will be on the agenda for approval tonight. No details are available on this year’s budget, but last year, the borough was able to balance the budget at $584,500, with no tax increases needed, but the millage was shifted around to provide Citizens Ambulance with money to keep operating in the borough.
Along with the adoption of the tentative budget, the board will look to authorize the advertisement of the 2024 tax ordinance for adoption at the December council meeting.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 7:00 at the Borough Council Building.
