Today marks another deadline for the upcoming general election.
Those wishing to use a mail-in or absentee ballot must have their application received by the county election board by the end of business today. Mail-in ballots may be used by any qualified voter upon their request, while an absentee ballot is for those who plan to be out of their municipality on election day of if a disability or illness that would prevent the person from going to their polling place.
To request either ballot type, you must be registered to vote. People can check their voter registration status by logging on to vote.pa.gov.
Those who do utilize the mail-in or absentee ballot must return the ballots so they are received no later than election day, November 7th.
