APSCUF, PASSHE REPORT PROGRESS ON COACHES CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS

Negotiating teams for the State System of Higher Education and the union representing its coaches met yesterday, and while a new agreement was not reached, progress was reported.

The teams representing PASSHE and APSCUF discussed several topics in the one-day negotiation session, including evaluations, student feedback, sharing financial information, leaves of absence, contracts of employment and meet-and-discuss.  Negotiations on the coaches contract will take a month’s break, and both teams will meet again for a two-day session on November 28^th and 29^th.  The coaches will continue to work under the terms of the contract that expired on June 30^th of this year.

Negotiations on the faculty contract will resume on November 9^th in a four day session.  Their contract also expired on June 30^th of this year.
