Pitt Coach Pat Narduzzi caught the attention of fans following Saturday’s 58-7 blowout loss to Notre Dame, and not in a good way.
During his postgame comments, Narduzzi addressed the tough stretch the Panthers have been on, which features a 1-3 record in the ACC, a -51 point differential, and gaps at several positions, including quarterback.
Among those comments, Narduzzi said he and his coaching staff have not done a good job at filling roster spots after several seasoned players graduated last year.
That comment generated a lot of heat on social media, but Narduzzi took to X, or Twitter, after the game reiterating he is “100 percent responsible” for Saturday’s loss, and that he remains committed to “finishing the season strong with the team.”
Pitt returns home this Saturday to host No. 4 Florida State at Acrisure Stadium.
CFB RANKINGS
The top five remain unchanged in the latest college football coaches poll. Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State and Washington are once again leading the way. Texas, Oregon, Alabama, Penn State and Ole Miss round out the remainder of the top 10.
