A Westmoreland County motorcyclist was killed in an accident early yesterday in Derry Township.
35-year-old James A. Trice III, who lived in Derry Township, crashed his Harley Davidson shortly after 1:00 a.m. Saturday just east of Ligonier Street near the intersection with Route 217, according to the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office. The cycle hit a traffic sign and slid back onto the road.
Trice was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bradenville firefighters were dispatched to the accident scene.
