On Tuesday night, the River Valley School Board announced that the PA Education Secretary will pay a visit to the district in early November.
Board President Rick Harper announced the visit to the River Valley STEAM academy on November 9th. He said that in a recent Zoom meeting with the department, Dr. Khalid Mumin said that he was impressed with the changes made in the River Valley School District.
In other business, the board voted to table approval on a contract for a feasibility study on all the schools in the district to have air conditioning installed. Harper said that the cost of $80,000 was just too high.
The board did approve a proposal from Sparks Media Agency to help promote the district at a cost not to exceed $60,000. The agreement will be paid for by grant funding.
