Five fire companies were called out last night for a fire in Pine Township.
Indiana County 911 reports that the fire happened at a location on Country Meadows Lane in Strongstown. At 7:28 PM, Pine Township, Cherryhill, Clymer, Hope and Nicktown fire departments were dispatched to the scene. Spangler Volunteer Fire Department was called out for standby detail for Pine Township at 7:43, and Commodore was called in a minute later to standby at their station. Clymer was later placed on standby for Cherryhill Township Volunteer Fire Department at 8:11.
Pine Township fire chief Amy Muir said that a trailer had caught fire at the trailer park, and was fully involved by the time they got there. The trailer and its contents were destroyed. A woman and her adult daughter lived in the trailer. One of them was not home at the time and the other was sleeping inside the trailer when it caught fire. She was able to get out unscathed. No injuries were reported among the fire crews on-scene.
The Salvation Army was contacted to provide aid to the family
