IUP will continue its preparations for Saturday’s game at Seton Hill today, and it will be another opportunity to work new starting quarterback Nico Marchitelli into the first unit. He replaced the injured Karst Hunter in the Cal U loss two weeks ago and got his first start last week in the win over Edinboro. He says he’s happy to join a distinguished group of IUP quarterbacks.
IUP switched to the I formation in Saturday’s game and the offense came alive with the run game. Marchitelli says that’s fine with his talented wide receiver corps.
Marchitelli will be Jack Benedict’s guest at halftime on Saturday on U92.
