Returning from their bye week for their first practice of the week, the Steelers were a relatively healthy group yesterday, with wide receiver Diontae Johnson, tight end Pat Freiermuth, tackle Dan Moore, and even running back Anthony McFarland in uniform and at work. Other injured players in action yesterday were guard James Daniels and defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal. Johnson and McFarland were both activated off injured reserve and the Steelers now have 21 days to add them to the active roster.
With a game in Los Angeles coming on Sunday, the return of Moore, Daniels, and Freiermuth to the line of scrimmage will be a key against a talented Rams defensive front led by All-Pro Aaron Donald.
Center Mason Cole was refreshed and ready to get back to work after the week off.
Dan Moore took first-team reps, replacing top draft choice Broderick Jones, who has played the last two games. He says he feels great, and it’s good to have everyone back.
Rams star Kyren Williams rushed for a career-high 158 yards in LA’s win over the Cardinals on Sunday but he sprained his ankle and will likely miss Sunday’s game against the Steelers.
