The Penguins swung a trade Tuesday afternoon, sending defenseman Mark Friedman and forward Ty Glover to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for prospects Jack Rothbone and Karel Plasek.
Friedman was claimed off waivers from Philadelphia in 2021 and notched four goals and seven assists in 54 games with the Penguins.
Glover spent all of last season with the Penguins’ AHL affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and collected seven goals in 49 games.
Rathbone will report to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, while Plasek will head to Wheeling, the Pens’ ECHL affiliate.
