West Shamokin’s Alex Talmadge fired an opening round 1-over 73 at Penn State yesterday and is in a six-way tie for seventh place after the first round of the State Double-A golf championship. Nick Werner of Wyoming Seminary leads the two-round tournament at four-under, with three other golfers between Talmadge and the lead. The second and final round is today.
GIRLS SOCCER
Indiana got goals from Mae Turner and Sydney Anderson as they shut out Kiski Area, 2-0. Isabella Antonacci earned the win in net.
