The Steelers get back to work today after a five-day break for their bye week. After yesterday’s games, which saw the Browns, Bengals, and Ravens all win, the Steelers sit a half-game back of the 4-2 Ravens for first the AFC North. At 3-2, they are tied with the Browns for second. The Bengals are 3-3.
When they take to the practice field today, they expect wide receiver Diontae Johnson to be in uniform. He has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in the first game of the season and is eligible to return from the injured reserve list this week. Johnson says he is healed up and ready to go.
While Johnson is excited to be back, his receivers coach, Frisman Jackson, is thrilled to have him back at work because he combines with George Pickens to give the Steelers a dual threat.
The Steelers play the Rams on Sunday in Los Angeles.
The other AFC North scores: The Browns beat the 49ers, 19-17. The Bengals clipped the Seahawks, 17-13. The Ravens were 24-16 winners over the Titans in London.
The Chargers host the Cowboys tonight to wrap up Week Six in the NFL.
