Negotiators are working overtime this weekend to try to resolve the contract between the State System of Higher Education and APSCUF, the faculty union at the state-owned universities.
The session began Friday and continued yesterday, with the schedule calling for more talks today and tomorrow. APSCUF says the next update on the talks will be released after the Monday session.
Bargaining with coaches at the State System schools is scheduled to begin again on October 30th. Both the faculty and coach contracts expired on June 30th, with the terms of the old agreements still in place until new deals are struck.
The Board of Governors of the State System is scheduled to meet on Thursday at Bloomsburg University.
