S&T Bank is putting together an event to help out the Chevy Chase Community Center, whose operations were disrupted after the tragic shooting last Sunday morning that killed one person and injured eight others.
With the facility closed until further notice, the Community Center has had to rely on Aging Services to serve meals this week to those who need them, and local restaurants are helping out next week, but after that, there is no support. To help replenish the dwindling supplies in the community center, S&T will hold a “stuff the bus” collection day on Thursday, October 19th from Noon to 7 PM at the parking lot at 8th and Water Street. Items needed include canned goods, boxed meals and non-perishible food items, along with dish soap, bleach, toiletries and other items.
