At a meeting this morning, the Indiana County Commissioners approved three requests for county aid under the Indiana County Liquid Fuels funding.
The projects are the Upper Store Hill Road Resurfacing Project in Ernest Borough, where they are asking for $55,000; paving of Arch and Bridge Streets in Creekside Borough, where they requested $52,325; and a $75,000 request for the Nehrig Road Culvert Replacement Project in Black Lick Township. All three requests will go to PennDOT District 10 for final approval.
County Commissioners Chairman Mike Keith said that this was another way to combine state and local funding to make these projects work.
In other business, the commissioners approved a tentative agreement with the Indiana County Deputy Sheriffs Association. The four-year agreement for sixteen deputies includes a 3% wage increase each year starting January 1st of 2024. The deputies have already ratified the agreement.
