Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi says the Panthers have put the disappointing first half of the season behind them as they prepare for Saturday night’s matchup with number fourteen Louisville.
During their bye week, Pitt benched quarterback Phil Jurkovec because the coach says they “needed a spark”, and while Narduzzi said the decision was made by offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti Jr., he’s on board with it, and Jurkovec understood why the decision was made.
Christian Veilleux will start for Pitt on Saturday and Narduzzi said yesterday that Jurkovec is still a quarterback, despite a report that he lined up as a tight end in practice last week.
