On Monday, the Indiana School Board hired the clerk of the works for the Eisenhower project.
Based on the recommendation of the buildings, grounds and transportation committee, the board hired Larry Calvetti as the clerk of the works at a cost not to exceed $10,500 a month. Business Manager Jared Cronauer said that the position will represent the district on the job site.
The board also approved a contract with McNaughton Brothers for storing items from Eisenhower while the project’s going on at a cost of $20,800 for the moving of items and $1200 a month for storage.
In other business, the board approved the purchase of a parcel of land near the Senior High School at a cost of $3000 from F&D Holdings, LLC. Board president Walter Schroth said that this clears up some confusion on property lines that go back to when the school was originally built.
He said the purchase clears up all the issues and anomalies with the property lines and will eliminate any future disputes.
