PENS WIN FINAL PRE-SEASON GAME AGAINST SABRES

In the final pre-season tune-up, the Pens beat the Buffalo Sabres 7-4.

Drew O’Connor had two goals on the night, and goals were also scored by Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang, Marcus Pettersson, Jeff Carter and Lars Eller.  While Sidney Crosby did not have a goal, he did engage in a fight with Peyton Krebs, objecting to a hit he and Tyson Jose delivered to Kris Letang.  He got a fighting major and a roughing minor for his trouble.

The Pens end the pre-season 3-4, but the record gets re-set on Tuesday as they open regular season play against the Chicago Blackhawks at PPG Paints Arena.
