The State System of Higher Education and the union representing its teachers met yesterday for a negotiation session.
In a news release from APSCUF, teams from both sides met yesterday to discuss salaries and benefits. This was the first time that both sides met since September 13th. Both sides have scheduled to meet October 13th to the 16th for the next negotiation session and more information will be released at that time.
Teachers at IUP and the other State-Owned Universities have been working under the terms of a contract that expired June 30th of this year. That contract will remain in effect while negotiations continue. Negotiators have not set a date by which they expect to complete contract talks.
Also, APSCUF and PASSHE will meet on October 30th to discuss the coaches contract. Their last negotiation session was on September 19th.
