Kenny Pickett was a full practice participant yesterday for the Steelers and said he will be “good to go” Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
However, a key member of the Steelers’ defense was missing. Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith sat out with a groin injury. His status for Sunday was not listed on the official injury report. Defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal returned to practice as a limited participant after going through concussion protocol and linebacker Cole Holcomb practiced fully after being limited with a sore back.
Injured Steelers joining Highsmith on the sidelines yesterday were guard James Daniels, tackle Dan Moore, tight end Pat Freiermuth, and punter Pressley Harvin III.
One other note from practice: Desmond King has been elevated to co-starter at nickel/slot cornerback. Chandon Sullivan is the other co-starter on the official depth chart.
Steelers/Ravens kicks off Sunday at 1. The airtime on WDAD is 12 noon.
