State police in Indiana have arrested the suspect involved in the shooting at a White Township apartment this past weekend.
Troopers say 27-year-old Storm Michael Armagost of Punxsutawney was located and taken into custody by the Fugitive Apprehension Unit early Wednesday. They did not say where he was found.
Police were called out around 10:00 Saturday night to an apartment building at 878 South 3rd Street. Following an investigation, police believed Armagost and an un-named 39-year-old Indiana man got into an argument, and Armagost allegedly pulled a pistol from his waistband and fired a round at the victim’s head. The bullet missed, but the victim started to collect his belongings and leave while Armagost continued to point the gun at him. As they tried to leave, Armagost kicked him down the stairs and fled the scene shortly after.
A bullet hole was found in the bathroom/bedroom area of Apartment 24. but there was no evidence of the bullet going into the other apartments.
Armagost was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Guy Haberl and bail was denied. A preliminary hearing is set for October 11th at 1:30 PM.
