The Pittsburgh Penguins have landed in Sidney Crosby’s home province of Nova Scotia ahead of an exhibition game against the Ottawa Senators on Monday. Ahead of that game, the Pens announced that defensemen Ty Smith, Taylor Fedun and Xavier Ouillet; and Jonathan Gruden and Rem Pittick all cleared waivers.
The five were sent to Wilkes Barre-Scranton.
The Penguins regular season starts October 10th with a game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
