Patricia Ellen (Smith) Dunlap, 88, of Clarksburg, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, in Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Paul C. and Hazel (Clark) Smith, she was born May 6, 1935, in Indiana County.
Patricia graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1953. After high school, she worked as a social director for the Saltsburg Senior Center for 26 years.
She was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Clarksburg, PA.
Patricia helped to run Cedar Drive Farm alongside her husband, Dale, for more than 30 years. During those years, she was on the milk marketing board for Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Patricia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are her two children, Corinne A. (Dale) Mattern of Clarksburg and Dale B. (Michelle) Dunlap Jr. of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Aaron, Daniel, Michael, and Timothy; six great-grandchildren, Avery, Evelyn, Lilian, Matthew, Amelia, and Camille; a brother, Paul (Debbie) Smith of Blairsville, six sisters, Verna Bruner of Blairsville, Mildred Hoarsh of Buffalo, NY, Ruth Snyder of Blairsville, Betty Sharp of Clarksburg, Pauline Yerecic of Blairsville, and Veronica Buggey of Blairsville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 55 years, Dale B. Dunlap Sr. on May 3, 2011, and an infant son.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 11 AM in the funeral home with Lindy Fails officiating.
Interment will be in the Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery, Clarksburg, PA.
