Two Indiana golfers have advanced to the WPIAL Individual Final, and it’s the third consecutive year that both have qualified. Trevor Todd shot an 80 and Harrison Martineau an 81 at Latrobe Country Club yesterday. Todd finished in a tie for 14th and Martineau in a tie for 20th. Teammates Ryan Bell and Caden Force could not advance. Bell shot an 86 and Force an 87. Penn Trafford’s Nick Turowski is the first round leader after shooting even par 72.
The top 36 golfers plus ties advance to the final round, which will be played Monday at Valley Brook Country Club in Canonsburg. The top fourteen combined scores from the two rounds will advance to the state tournament.

United’s Garin Fisher netted a second-half goal to break a 1-1 tie as the Lions defeated Bishop Carroll, 2-1. BC’s Zach Novak and United’s Gideon Bracken both scored in the first half. Bracken’s goal was assisted by Carter Payne, and Bracken assisted on Fisher’s game-winner.
