The Pirates once again played spoiler last night, this time to the Cincinatti Reds 7-5.
Rookies lead the way for the Bucs as former Top 50 prospects Henry Davis and Endy Rodriguez homered in the same game. Ke’Bryan Hayes and Jared Triolo also went yard for the Bucs. In a “bullpen game”, Hunter Stratton may have blown the save, but he picked up the win. David Bednar notched his 37th save of the season.
The two teams play again tonight, with Bailey Falter starting for the Pirates against Connor Phillips of the Reds.
