The IUP Football Team will open PSAC-West play this afternoon on the road against Mercyhurst.
With their win last week against Shippensburg, the 2-1 Crimson Hawks moved to 19th in the D2Football.com Top 25 poll. In the all-time rivalry that goes back to when Mercyhurst joined the PSAC, IUP has won the last 10 times the two sides met. Mercyhurst is 1-2 on the season so far and are coming off a 47-17 road loss to Kutztown.
Kickoff is 1:00 PM from Saxton Stadium in Erie, and you can hear the game on U-92.5 FM starting at 12:30.
