With the start of training camp just a week away, the Penguins over the weekend signed former Florida Panthers forward Colin White to a professional tryout contract. He’s the fourth player coming to camp on a PTO. White scored eight goals with seven assists for the Panthers last year and appeared in all 21 of their playoff games. He was Ottawa’s first round draft pick in 2015.
The Pens announced 27 players on their roster for the prospect showcase. This Friday through Monday in Buffalo. One of them is their 2019 first round draft pick, forward Sam Poulin, and another is this year’s top pick, Brayden Yager. Last year’s top pick, Owen Pickering, is also on the roster, but he is listed as injured.
The Sabres, Bruins, Canadiens, Devils, and Senators will also be playing in the showcase. The Pens will play the Bruins, Senators, and Sabres.
